Billy Cavanaugh began his career in the film industry at the William Morris Endeavor talent agency working with clients like Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Michael B. Jordan, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Janelle Monáe, Barry Sonnenfeld and André Benjamin of Outkast.

He then moved into film production & development at The Mark Gordon Company and Universal Pictures, working on films including Straight Outta ComptonTed 2 and The Mummy. After first trying VR in 2015, he realized the transformative impact it held and went to learn immersive entertainment under Chris Milk at the esteemed VR studio Within. While there, he worked on the VR experience “Life of Us” which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was awarded “Best VR Installation” by Verge. He put a VR headset on his childhood friend Alex Davis and, realizing a common passion, they co-founded Baby Rage in 2017.

Billy is also passionate about volunteer work and pursued it from an early age. He developed a recycling program in the Southern Yucatan when he was 18, bringing hotels and restaurants together to recycle waste and generate money for the local economy. He spent several months teaching English in Mexico and volunteering in orphanages and senior homes in Costa Rica and Zambia, as well as building and repairing homes in places such as Mexico, Texas, Arkansas and California.
